Manufacturing Design Technician

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Design Technician to join our team at Flex Cabinets and Millwork Inc.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-35 hours per week with the opportunity for career growth and professional development in a dynamic environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and estimating costs and materials. They will work closely with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and ensure that all documentation packages and drawing sets meet the highest standards of quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing engineering designs and drawings using industry-standard software;
- Developing and preparing design sketches to bring ideas to life;
- Estimating costs and materials required for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
- Writing technical reports to document project progress and outcomes;
- Consulting with clients and internal stakeholders to establish product requirements and ensure alignment with company goals.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
As a Manufacturing Design Technician at Flex Cabinets and Millwork Inc., you can expect:
