Production Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our machine shop employees. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:Direct machine shop employees in their daily tasks and ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to complete their work on time.
Track all machine shop jobs to ensure they are completed within budget and prepare mitigation plans if a project is expected to exceed its allocated funds.
Work closely with the fabrication shop to ensure parts are available when required and coordinate with other departments to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:A minimum of 10 years' experience in a machine shop environment or engineering department of a manufacturer with heavy machining capabilities.
At least 3 years' experience as a lead hand or supervisor, with a proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving production goals.
Good understanding of machinery and equipment, as well as material tolerances.
Strong time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
Benefits:The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of CA$95,000 to CA$105,000 per year, depending on experience.
