About the Role:

Sushi Fresh is seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring that every meal meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and manage food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise and train our culinary staff, including specialist chefs, cooks, and kitchen workers.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of culinary staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, and the ability to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and presentation.
