About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our client in Ottawa. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment and contribute to accurate diagnostic interpretations.

Job Summary:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures using gamma cameras and PET scanners, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review patient medical histories, determine appropriate imaging techniques, and interpret scan results.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and radiation doses administered, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines and stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a recognized diploma in Ontario or degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  2. Current registration and in good standing with the relevant professional licensing body.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, preferably in a hospital or medical imaging center.
  4. Strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety protocols, and image acquisition techniques.
  5. Familiarity with medical imaging software and computer systems used in nuclear medicine.
