At Brockville General Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general radiology and mammography.


About the Role

This full-time position is part of our Diagnostic Imaging department. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing safe, quality care and services to patients. You will uphold all department and organization policies and procedures, maintain safe equipment operation, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow up on test results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A graduate degree from an accredited Radiological Technology program.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Knowledge of clinical CMRITO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • PREFERRED: Mammo 1 and Mammo 2 completion from CAMRT, competent in venepuncture and contrast media injections, 5 years' experience performing mammograms.
  • MINIMUM: 1 year experience performing mammograms.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good attendance and availability required.
