About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Locator/Field Technician to join our team at EPCOR in Aylmer, Ontario. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for providing project and third-party locates within our franchise area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of optimal results against performance metrics, including meeting customer expectations, operational effectiveness, and efficiency outcomes.
  • Locate utility infrastructure for customers, contractors, and project teams, and provide reports and/or drawings for locates after completion.
  • Document and record all data related to installations.
  • Operate locating equipment, maintain transmitters and locator equipment, and ensure locates are done efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect installations and ensure compliance, liaising with supervisors to review project designs.
  • Change/install new meters at customers' homes.
  • Respond to and support Gas Technicians during emergency incidents and participate in standby schedule rotation.
  • Utilize working knowledge of Natural Gas Utility Safety Rules.
  • Provide backup support to other departments as assigned.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ontario TSSA Gas Technician Certificate G2 or GPI.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License.
  • Solid understanding of Natural Gas Distribution and/or Gas Systems.
