About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Anova Carpentry and Developments Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 35 hours per week
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various settings, including construction sites, mills, and industrial plants. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
