About the RoleThis contract opportunity is for an experienced Java Developer to work with our client, a Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build innovative solutions using Java technologies within the electronic trading space.
- Collaborate with quants, trading, and technology teams to analyze, design, build, and continuously refine and enhance technical solutions using Java.
- Develop highly resilient trading solutions using industry-standard low-latency Java techniques.
- Work with messaging technologies such as Solace, JMS, Kafka, and Microservices.
- Utilize persistence technologies such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, off-heap storages, and distributed caches.
- Experience working with senior Quants, Traders, and Technology Managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- At least years of hands-on development experience in Java technologies.
- Experience in fast-moving Capital Markets Electronic and Algorithmic Trading environment with working knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Equities.
- Solid experience in building highly resilient trading solutions using industry-standard low-latency Java techniques.
- Strong expertise in messaging technologies such as Solace, JMS, Kafka, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of Microservices and APIs.
- Sound knowledge of persistence technologies such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, off-heap storages, and distributed caches.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix.
- Experience working with senior Quants, Traders, and Technology Managers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
