Medical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at STERIS. As a Medical Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on medical equipment, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide tailored support to meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed;
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide prompt repairs or replacements;
- Conduct site visits to inspect and maintain medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards;
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance;
- Provide training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance;
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall customer satisfaction;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in medical equipment technology;
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A strong background in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service;
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly (up to 50 miles) to customer sites;
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required;
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
