Carpenter Lead Hand Job Description

Wright Construction Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of building structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Construction: Oversee the installation of building structures, including foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and junior staff on best practices, safety protocols, and industry standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company standards and industry regulations.
  • Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more in carpentry and leadership roles.
  • Certifications: Working at heights training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Carpenter Red Seal Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, and CSTS Certificate.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and willingness to use company-provided tools.
