Job Description

As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) at Riverbend Dental Centre, you will play a vital role in our dental team. You will assist skilled dentists and dental hygienists in providing outstanding patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.

  • Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assist dentists during various dental treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
Responsibilities

In addition to the above, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment.
  • Preparing and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
  • Managing appointment scheduling and patient records.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims.
  • Adhering to strict infection control procedures.
  • Assisting during dental emergencies and administering basic life support if needed.
  • Staying updated on dental technology and procedures through continuing education.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in dental software and office management systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
