Job DescriptionAs a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), you will play a vital role in our dental team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and preparing patients for dental procedures.
- Taking and recording patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Assisting dentists during various dental treatments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized treatment area.
- Sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment.
- Preparing and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Managing appointment scheduling and patient records.
- Performing administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims.
- Adhering to strict infection control procedures.
- Assisting during dental emergencies and administering basic life support if needed.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in dental software and office management systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality
