Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Veerji Fish 'n' Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to meet the high standards of our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer preferences.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a kitchen environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
