We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President Property Underwriter to join our team in the Central Region. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, utilizing our proprietary underwriting framework to ensure a high level of service to our customers.
This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in a supportive environment where your voice matters. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop strong relationships with brokers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated underwriting authority.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- Provide technical guidance, assistance, and training to new underwriters.
- Qualify accounts to meet within the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.
- Cross-Sell other lines of business to increase product density.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
- OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
- OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
- OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
- AND Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
- Experience working in a team environment.
