AVP, National Accounts Property Central Region

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President to join our team as a National Accounts Property Underwriter in the Central Region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, collaborative, and values-driven individual to work with inspiring teammates and leaders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in underwriting property and a proven track record of analyzing and underwriting complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, ensuring a high level of service to customers.
  • Provide technical guidance, assistance, and training to new underwriters.
  • Qualify accounts to meet within the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
  • AND Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of large property underwriting experience.
  • Experience in understanding property wordings and terminology.
  • Insurance Industry specific education (F/CIP, CRM, RPLU etc) is an asset.
