Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Uppal Trans Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition and that all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with attention to detail and the ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, judgment, and reliability are essential for this role.
