Bar Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at The Vancouver Club, a distinguished private members club in downtown Vancouver. With a rich history dating back to 1893, our club offers an array of amenities, including dining, function spaces, accommodations, and fitness facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Train and develop beverage service staff, including creating a training program for the team.
- Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.
- Conduct skills/knowledge assessments with staff to identify areas for training.
- Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action to address service challenges.
- Assist with service in the Grill, Lounge, and Rooftop during peak periods to drive sales of wines and spirits.
- Source all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Participate in monthly inventory counts of all wine, spirits, and other beverages.
- Develop and execute the VC Cocktail program and all Club events that require beverage requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- Extensive experience in Food and Beverage Service.
- Experience at a private club is a bonus.
- WSET Level 2 or ISG Diploma.
- Computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Demonstrate superior customer service philosophy.
- Professional appearance and manner, gracious attitude, and ability to interact with diverse groups.
