Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Business Analyst with a solid background in the insurance sector. This role requires a thorough understanding of business processes and the ability to translate user needs into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Citizenship Requirement: Only candidates with citizenship will be considered.
· Engage with current and potential users to comprehend and document their information requirements based on a deep understanding of business processes and decision-making needs.
· Provide Business Analyst support for Business Intelligence (BI) projects to ensure timely delivery.
· Collaborate with IT teams to identify and document available data sources and their interconnections.
· Work alongside team members to design effective solutions.
· Partner with colleagues to establish robust reconciliation and control processes.
· Collaborate with quality assurance teams to confirm that business requirements are fulfilled.
· Liaise with business and user group representatives to grasp business decisions and related reporting and analysis needs.
· Conduct requirements gathering, user interviews, workshops, and prototyping.
· Document requirements in a manner that is clear to both business partners and IT staff.
· Analyze and document data sources and data flows consistently and to established standards.
· Collaborate with colleagues to design solutions that align with identified business needs.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a Business Analyst role throughout the complete lifecycle of a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence project.
Experience working as a BI Business Analyst within the insurance market.
Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial insurance and reinsurance sectors.
A relevant degree is required.
Demonstrated understanding of the critical factors contributing to success in DW/BI projects, including user engagement, prototyping, Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and an educational approach.
Experience in collaborative, agile working environments.
Technical Skills:
· Proficient in SQL, data analysis, reporting, and modeling tools.
· Familiarity with SQL Server and the Microsoft BI stack, including Master Data Services (MDS) and Data Quality Services (DQS) is preferred.
