About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team at BC Building Products Ltd. as a General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and success.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Team Management: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate and approve promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
  • Policy Development: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to drive business success.
  • Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Talent Management: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegate the necessary authority, and create optimum working conditions.Requirements
    • Work Environment: Work under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Communication: Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and work effectively as a team player.
    • Experience: Possess at least 5 years of experience in a senior management role.
    • Cultural Competence: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
    • Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
    • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
    • Employment Type: Permanent position.
    • Language: English.
    • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
