Job Description

As a fashion educator, you will be responsible for supervising students in work sessions, preparing teaching materials and outlines for courses, and conducting course and program evaluations or reviews. You will also supervise teaching assistants and ensure that students receive high-quality instruction and support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion education, excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and skill levels. We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 per year, plus benefits including learning/training paid by employer and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses, ensuring that they meet the needs of students and align with industry standards
  • Conduct course and program evaluations or reviews, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change
  • Supervise teaching assistants and provide feedback and coaching to help them develop their skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion education or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fashion education or a related field
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to students and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and skill levels, including adolescents and adults
