About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority seeks a skilled Registered Orthotic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Assistive Technology department, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise towards evaluation, treatment planning, and custom fabrication of assistive devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Design and fabricate custom orthoses using best evidence-informed practices
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal care and achieve patient goals

You will work closely with certified clinicians to ensure the quality and integrity of orthoses meet patients' physical and functional needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Registration in good standing with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada
  • A minimum of two years' experience (Technical Internship is considered experience)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational abilities to manage changing caseloads
  • High level of manual dexterity and strong problem-solving abilities
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $29.81 - $36.54 hourly, as well as benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
