Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Electrical calibrators Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Performing pre-operational inspections
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Paving and raking asphalt
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
Work Environment:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The job requires physical demands, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and may involve overtime.
