About the Job

Our client, a renowned mining company in Canada, is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to join their team on a short-term basis until July 2025.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving transformative change within the organization by coaching team members on implementing improvement projects, developing visual management tools, and validating business benefits.

You will also be responsible for adhering to health and safety policies and working closely with the Operating Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coach team members on improvement project implementation
  • Develop visual management tools
  • Validate business benefits
  • Maintain health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Operating Excellence Lead

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Mining, Engineering, or Processing
  • 5 years of operational experience at a mining operation, or equivalent in a central function
  • Project management experience

Desired Skills

  • Statistical method proficiency
  • Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX and Power BI expertise

Work Arrangement

This is an independent contractor position with a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule and one EDO (Earned Day Off) every other Friday.
