As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Scotiabank's risk strategies.

With over 5 years of experience in developing and validating predictive models, including linear regressions, forecasting, time series, ARIMA, and artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, you will be responsible for leading audits as Office in Charge (OIC) to assess the design and operating effectiveness of model risk management and controls.

Your expertise in statistical tests and tools such as SQL, Python, R, and SAS will enable you to identify high-quality, value-added recommendations to management.

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will lead strategic transformation of Audit through innovation, adoption of generative AI and best-in-class technologies. You will leverage advanced data analytics to enable continuous auditing to detect potential issues on an ongoing basis.

You will lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include planning, execution, and reporting on assigned audit projects within scheduled timelines and resources. You will manage and supervise end-to-end audit execution processes, ensuring the nature and extent of testing is appropriate to support objectives, scope, and overall opinions.

You will ensure audit findings and results are gathered and timely communicated to management, with identified root causes, associated impacts, audit recommendations, and management actions addressing root causes.

A Master's degree in Quant area such as Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, and Business is required. Strong knowledge of risk management, model risk management, project management, model regulations, and compliance is essential.

The salary for this position is approximately $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience. Located in Toronto, Canada, Scotiabank offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
