About the Role:

Colas Western Canada Inc. is seeking a Labourer to join their team at Terus Construction. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for general laborer duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment as needed.
  • Equipment cleanup as needed.
  • May be called upon to run small power tools.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
  • Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience on a road construction crew is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Out of town travel as required.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
