About the Role

Gobind Granite Inc is seeking a skilled Hand Granite Polisher to join our team. As a Hand Granite Polisher, you will be responsible for operating various machines and equipment to cut, polish, and finish granite and other stone products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Blade or Wire Saws: Cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions using blade or wire saws.
  • Operate Sandblasting Equipment: Cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone using sandblasting equipment.
  • Operate Stone-Dressing Lathe: Sharpen and dress grindstones that grind logs into pulp using a stone-dressing lathe.
  • Operate Drilling Machines: Drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
  • Finish Stone Products: Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
