About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Interpreter - Japanese Language Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals with limited English language skills and representatives from various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear interpretation during online calls, ensuring effective communication between all parties.
- Utilize your language skills to navigate conversations in specialized fields such as Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, and Law Enforcement, adapting to industry-specific terminologies.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding to create an inclusive atmosphere, fostering a positive and effective communication environment.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy during all interactions.
- Follow a weekly schedule of a minimum 30 hours per week with no planned absences for the first 450 hours worked.
- Participate in the training sessions in an attentive and focused way to elevate your interpretation skills, stay current with industry best practices, and successfully complete the program.

Requirements:
- Be fluent in English and Japanese – reading, writing, and speaking.
- Have acquired a high school diploma or GED.
- Be confident with medical terminology. This is not required but is considered a strong asset.
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be available to work a weekly schedule of a minimum of 30 hours per week with no planned absences for at least the first 450 hours worked.
- Reside in Canada.
- Legally be authorized to work in Canada.
- Have a suitable quiet & secure work-at-home environment.
- Have a stable and fast internet connection.
