About the Role

Cabinet Arts Ltd is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden furniture and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Production: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Finishing and Quality Control: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and plan production to meet deadlines.
  • Repair and Restoration: Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and organized.
