Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks to ensure efficient data transfer and communication.
  • Install and configure software, web servers, and network hardware to meet business needs.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network functionality.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to meet business requirements.
  • Provide exceptional problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance and ensure data security.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
