Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at a public accounting firm in the Niagara Region. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, reviewing and compiling financial statements, and managing client relationships.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead audit engagements and ensure timely completion
  • Review and compile financial statements, including corporate and personal tax planning and preparation
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Prepare and maintain government remittances and filings, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll transactions
  • Set up client files and assist with budget completion
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close process
  • Assist with training junior staff and contribute to team success
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting is required
  • CPA designation or pursuing is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting is required
  • Experience with GAAP, CAS, and financial statements is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff
