Harpinder Hari seeks a compassionate and detail-oriented Home Support Worker to join our team.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working approximately 30-35 hours per week. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care, administering medications, and assisting clients with daily tasks such as bathing and exercising. They should also be comfortable preparing nutritious meals and performing light housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking
  • Change non-sterile dressings as required
  • Feed or assist clients with feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment status
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Working hours of approximately 30-35 hours per week
