Job Title: Medical Orderly

We are seeking a skilled Medical Orderly to join our team at 9146-6573 Québec inc. as a key member of our healthcare staff.

Job Summary:

The Medical Orderly will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients as needed.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
  • Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as directed.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients as needed.
  • Transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.
  • Collect specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Permanent position with 30 hours of work per week.
  • Fluency in French is required.
