About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineering Department Head to lead our team in Mississauga office. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, people management, and project management skills, while also playing a key role in business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of electrical engineering projects, from initial proposal to final completion, ensuring projects meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Business Development: Manage and support business development efforts by maintaining and expanding the client base, identifying new opportunities for growth, and collaborating with Senior Management on strategic initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with Senior Management to prepare project forecasts, proposals, and reports, and attend monthly Department Head meetings to provide updates on proposals, project progress, and any issues.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of engineers.
  • Excellent client management skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and project goals are met.
Compensation Package:
  • The salary range for this position is $150,000-$190,000 per year.
  • 4 weeks of vacation per year.
  • 5% pension matching.
