Co-op Student Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our team at the Engineering Management Office within the Engineering and Construction division of Halton Region.

This 12-month co-op term will provide the successful candidate with valuable work experience and the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of regional infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers, project coordinators, and contract administrators with documentation of end-to-end project delivery processes and policies.
  • Perform data collection and analysis to support the development of process performance dashboards.
  • Conduct background research as required to support project delivery.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance project delivery processes.
  • Assist in preparing procurement documents for construction contracts.
  • Conduct construction site visits as required to ensure project delivery.
  • Attend project management meetings and group management meetings to stay informed and contribute to project delivery.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas and minutes, managing assigned project tasks, and project files.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent program.
  • Demonstrated skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage workflow to complete work on time and as expected.
Working Conditions

Travel will be required between office locations within Halton Region. The incumbent must supply their own transportation.
