Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate licensed practical nurse to join our team at Points West Living Stetler Inc. As a caregiving professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing services to our residents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, monitoring nutritional intake, and observing and recording medication's therapeutic and side effects. You will also be tasked with taking vital signs, monitoring established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, and providing safety and health education to individuals and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals;
  • Conduct specimen collection and laboratory testing as required;
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions;
  • Consult with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery;
  • Provide safety and health education to residents and their families;
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and observations;
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work;
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure is essential.
