About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Concept Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Concept Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating immersive game environments that transport players to new and exciting worlds.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Art Director to develop a cohesive artistic vision for our games, from concept to final quality art.
- Work closely with Level Artists to create a range of immersive game environments that bring our games to life.
- Develop a wide variety of concepts, including architectural design, hard surface props, and vehicles, that showcase your creativity and attention to detail.
- Maintain a high level of quality art while providing a variety of ideas that meet the needs of our games.
- Provide in-depth research, reference material, and develop conceptual ideas that inspire our team.
- Create lighting schemes and color palettes that capture the tone of our games.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in creating concept art for the video game industry.
- Experience with Photoshop and 3D software, such as Maya or 3ds Max.
- Superior eye for light, value, composition, color, staging, and detail in environmental design.
- The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game environments.
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
- Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as a concept artist.
- A passion for developing online games and a strong foundation in the traditional arts, including figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.
- Fine Art background and a passion for games.
