We are seeking a reliable and organized Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at McInnis Group (1993) Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our motel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
    • Contact licensed tradespersons for major repairs and maintenance
  • Facilities Management
    • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff
    • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Grounds and Amenities
    • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
    • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
  • Equipment and Supplies
    • Operate power tools and other equipment as required
    • Manage and maintain swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment
  • Certifications and Training
    • Hold a valid Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
    • Hold a valid First Aid Certificate
  • Personal Qualities
    • Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and a high level of organization
    • Be reliable and able to work independently
    Requirements
    • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
    • Availability for shift or on-call work
    • Current legal ability to work in Canada
    • Previous experience in this field of employment
    • Permanent work term
    • English language proficiency
    • 35-40 hours of work per week
