Job Title: Machine Operator

Filature Lemieux Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, ensuring efficient production and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain a range of machines, including carding machines, spinning frames, and staple processing machines.
  • Load and off-load machines, ensuring accurate and timely production.
  • Notify supervisors or mechanics of equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Set up, maintain, and make minor repairs to machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Push carts, trucks, or cans of fibres from one work area to another, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Investigate machine stoppages and assist in resolving issues.
  • Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Examine products for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field, preferably in textile production or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
