Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and feed a variety of machines, including blenders, carding machines, and spinning frames.
  • Set up, maintain, and make minor repairs to machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Load and off-load machines, and push carts, trucks, or cans of fibres from one work area to another.
  • Notify supervisor or mechanic of equipment malfunctions and investigate machine stoppages.
  • Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment required.
