As a Health Informatics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare information systems within Fraser Health. This exciting opportunity calls for an experienced professional to lead the development, implementation, and adoption of health informatics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Development and Implementation: Provide strategic guidance on the design, development, and implementation of health information systems that align with Fraser Health's vision and goals.
  2. Clinical and Corporate Systems Expertise: Utilize your expertise in clinical and corporate information systems to identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
  3. Team Management: Supervise a team of professionals in the execution of projects and daily operations, fostering a positive work environment and motivating team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
  4. Budget Management: Manage multiple department project budgets under the direction of the Director, ensuring effective financial planning and allocation of resources.
  5. Project Coordination: Oversee the coordination of internal and external committees, representing Fraser Health as a decision-maker on external opportunities to achieve desired outcomes.
  6. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, legislation, and collective agreements.
  7. Vendor Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensure payment schedules are distributed, and vendors uphold contract provisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field plus seven (7) years management experience in a medium to large-sized organization working with computerized health information systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, plan, and implement within the area of responsibility, utilizing leadership practices such as Clear, Caring, and Courageous.
  • Tech Proficiency: Working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation, and collective agreements, proficiency in the use of personal computers, and physical ability to perform duties.
