Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Instructor to teach Early Childhood Education Distance Education classes on a casual contract basis.

Job Duties
  • Evaluate and record student progress using assessments, assignments, and observations in accordance with program and institute guidelines.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using appropriate instructional methodologies in support of a blended learning experience.
  • Provide evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform (Bright Space).
  • Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
  • Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Qualifications
  • Recognized relevant four-year degree (Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, Bachelor's in Child Development).
  • Two years' recent and relevant experience working in an Early Learning and Childcare Education setting as an Early Childhood Educator/Teacher/ECE Instructor.
  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
