Job Description

New Wave Roofing & Carpentry is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for clients
  • Design and install various types of roofing systems, including shingles, tiles and metal roofing
  • Construct and repair walls, floors and ceilings using wood and other materials
  • Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on multiple sites simultaneously
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 3 years of experience in the trade. You should also possess excellent oral communication skills, be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.

Working Conditions

This position requires working at heights, in noisy environments and outdoors. You must be comfortable with tight deadlines and large workloads.

Benefits

As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
