Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker Helper

Piedmont Sheet Metal (1997) Ltd. is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker Helper to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to assist our skilled tradespersons in a sheet metal shop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as performing various labouring and elemental activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
  • Performing other labouring and elemental activities
  • Operating metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal
  • Assisting skilled tradespersons
  • Assembling, erecting, and installing hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Fitting and joining sheet metal parts
  • Installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Welding
  • Soldering equipment
  • Shears
  • Punch presses
  • Drill presses
  • Brakes
