About the Role

At SECURE ENERGY, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our team. As an HSE Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and the communities we operate in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HSE Programs: Design, implement, and maintain effective HSE programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Audits: Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks associated with our operations, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Provide Training and Coaching: Deliver training and coaching to employees and contractors on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices, and provide guidance on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with operations teams, management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on HSE matters.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Monitor and stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and ensure that our HSE programs and procedures are aligned with these requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in industry-related operations, with a strong background in HSE.
  • Certifications and Designations: OHS Certificate, CRSP or NCSO designation, and a strong understanding of safety management systems and safe work practices.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and a strong understanding of HSE regulatory processes and principles.
