About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. as a Project Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Budgeting
    • Develop and submit comprehensive construction project budget estimates
    • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control, ensuring adherence to industry standards
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
  • Team Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and expectations
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates and financial analysis
    • Identify and analyze trends and patterns to inform project decisions and improve future project outcomes
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction project management role
    • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as construction management or engineering
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project and Primavera
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and changing priorities
    • Willingness to relocate for project assignments, with relocation costs covered by the employer
