About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Shorty's Pizza. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Ensure that all food and kitchen supplies are stored and handled in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Work Schedules and Conditions
    • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with our health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational and time management skills. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be expected to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, customers, and management.

Language and Work Schedule

The language of work is English. The work schedule is 35 to 40 hours per week.
