Join the Acceleration Consortium at the University of Toronto as a Staff Scientist - AI and Automation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to work on the development of AI and automation technologies for the creation of self-driving labs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI and automation technologies for the creation of self-driving labs
- Work closely with the research team to design and implement research programs that leverage the AC's SDLs
- Collaborate with industry partners to develop and implement research projects
- Manage and oversee the activities of a lab
- Develop and implement plans to support research collaborations and estimate financial resources required for programs and/or projects
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, life sciences, physics, engineering, robotics, computer science, or related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in accelerated research and development in the area of organic synthesis, organometallic catalysis, and computational
- Strong experience and expert knowledge of AI and automation
- Experience working with industry partners and on industry-led research and development projects
- Strong experience presenting research at academic conferences
- Demonstrated record of academic and/or research excellence
