  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative functions on campus, enhancing the student experience and supporting the college's mission.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold the college's standards and values, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in education and student success.
  • Professional Development: Participate in college and program activities, staying current with industry trends and advancements.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or certificate from a recognized university or college in dental and/or dental assisting.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of related work and/or practical experience in dental assisting.
  • Licensure: Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure with the Manitoba Dental Association.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Scope of Practice: Individual scope of practice must include any skills being instructed in the clinic.
  • Education Training: Completed or pursuing formal training in education/facilitation methods, professional instructor's certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Skills: Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Pedagogical Approaches: Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire students, demonstrating high standards of behavior and a professional attitude.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff, considering and responding appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of students.
  • Technology: Ability to learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.
