Job Title: Senior Cost Consultant

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Senior Cost Consultant to join our Infrastructure team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver high-quality cost management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a major project in Toronto, leading a team to drive value and opportunities for the client.
  • Develop clear and concise monthly reports showcasing project progress.
  • Drive packages of work from inception to completion, working with our estimating team and monitoring works on site.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Provide guidance and insight on project aspects to drive improvement and efficiencies.
  • Assist in research related to construction market conditions in Canada.
  • Ensure quality control and participate in ISO audits.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and costings, reviewing and writing procurement reports.
  • Assess and validate design, and post-contract cost changes.
  • Contribute to value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Support the Commission Manager in managing commissions to quality standards.
  • Assist in developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Ensure knowledge management, inputting key information into internal databases.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including working on at least two major projects or programs.
  • A recognized post-secondary education certificate, diploma, or University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership of relevant professional organizations, such as CIQS, RICS, or AACE.
  • Advanced knowledge of CostX is an asset.
