The Role

We are seeking a skilled Drilling and Blasting Specialist to join our team.

You will work closely with all team members in coordinating drilling and blasting operations, ensuring that work is carried out according to specifications.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain drilling and blasting equipment and accessories.
  • Organize and carry out blasting operations or any other work requiring the use of explosives.
  • Prepare, organize, and carry out drilling operations using hydraulic drills.
  • Dynamite trenches, masses, and road networks (pipeline).
  • Use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts, aerial work platforms, etc. with proper training and a valid card.
  • Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards.
  • Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting working environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades on the site.
  • Care for and maintain construction equipment.
  • Carry out all other related operational tasks.

Requirements

  • A valid CCQ occupation card.
  • A drilling and blasting DVS.
  • ASP Construction & WHMIS 201 card.
  • Valid driver's license - Class 5.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
